Short Cinematic Hunt Film
Your hunt comes first. I work quietly alongside your guide to capture the country, the people and the moments that make the experience worth remembering.
Based in New Zealand. Available Worldwide.
I specialise in filming red stag, tahr, chamois and other New Zealand hunts for local and international hunters. I am also available for selected hunting film and documentary projects worldwide.
Wherever the hunt takes place, I work alongside the hunter and guide, keep the production unobtrusive and capture the full experience, not just the final shot.
If you are travelling to New Zealand, I can coordinate directly with your outfitter before you arrive.

A Hunting Film You Can Relive
A trophy photograph records the result. A professionally made hunting film brings back the country, the voices, the weather, the stalk and the people who shared the experience with you.
Whether you choose a concise short film or a full documentary, the aim is the same: to create something that feels honest to your hunt and still matters years from now.

A Hunter, Filmmaker and Video Strategist
Good hunting films require more than attractive footage. I bring together hunting experience, documentary storytelling and video strategy so the finished film has a clear purpose and a story people will want to watch.
• Hunter behind the camera: More than 20 years of hunting experience helps me work quietly with guides and understand how opportunities unfold.
• Story-led production: I plan for the people, context, natural audio and turning points, not only the final shot.
• Long-form capability: I produce concise short films and can also shape multi-day coverage into documentaries running 30 to 60 minutes.
• Built for the field: Lightweight equipment, professional audio and backcountry experience keep the production practical.
• Marketing perspective: When filming for an outfitter or brand, I consider how the content will support its website, sales process and future marketing.

How Does Filming Fit Around Your Hunt?
Plan With Your Guide
Before the hunt, I discuss access, terrain, likely routes and how we will work together when an opportunity develops.
Keep the Footprint Small
I use a lightweight filming setup and move as part of the hunting party, without turning the hunt into a large production.
Build the Story Afterwards
In the edit, I bring together the action, natural sound, conversations and quieter moments so the finished film feels like the hunt itself.
What New Zealand Hunts Can Elevate Film?
I film red stag, tahr, chamois, fallow deer, wild boar and game-bird hunts across New Zealand, where access and logistics allow.
Coverage can be planned for free-range, estate and multi-species hunts. Alpine hunts require a lightweight approach and the fitness to move with the hunting party, while other trips can provide more time for interviews, camp life and the wider hunting experience.
• Red stag hunts
• Tahr hunts
• Chamois hunts
• Fallow deer hunts
• Wild boar hunts
• Duck, goose and upland game hunts
Other New Zealand and international hunting projects can be discussed individually.

How much does a hunting videographer cost in New Zealand?
Hunting film packages start from NZD $3,000 plus GST for two filming days and a 5 to 10 minute film. Full documentaries running 30 to 60 minutes start from NZD $8,000 plus GST. The final cost depends on filming days, travel, film length and deliverables.
What is included in a hunting film package?
Packages include professional on-location filming, editing, colour grading, sound design, natural audio and drone footage where conditions and permissions allow. The final film length, interviews, additional edits and usage permissions are agreed before the hunt.
Will filming interfere with my hunt?
The camera should support the hunt, not control it. I coordinate with your outfitter or guide, use a lightweight filming setup and keep the production footprint as small as practical.
Can you film multi-day or multi-species hunts?
Yes. Coverage can be planned around several hunting days, locations or species. We decide the intended film length before the hunt so the right story, audio and supporting footage can be captured.
Do you film hunts outside New Zealand?
Yes. Elevate Digital is based in New Zealand and available for selected hunting film and documentary projects worldwide. International travel and production requirements are quoted individually.
Can outfitters hire Elevate Digital?
Yes. I can produce personal films for an outfitter’s hunting clients and separate marketing content for the outfitter’s website, social media and sales process. These deliverables are planned separately because a client’s private hunt film and an outfitter’s promotional video serve different audiences.
